since halftime shows are so boring anyway.The “drift” par se’ is resulted from the default load out tires being plastic(slicks) but these are not true slicks. What can you expect for the price of this toy. You also get some rubber treadled ones likely the equiv of real car “all season” tires. And by the tread looks much the same as a road tire on a real car! In real life cars the true drift occurs when the rear wheels are locked(coaster brake) via use of a hand brake. In this case, it is all wheel drive and all wheel brakes. But the actual wheels have no tires at all, just plastic! You are riding on rims! If you wished you could use an old vacuum belt and guerilla glue a segment of it on each bare plastic rim for true “slicks” like the drag racers use in real life. (just don’t use Mom’s NEW belts or she’ll take on to you!-the one around her waistline! ;)***The manufacturer states not to modify the car in any way! I recommend most of you should be heeding as such!***some reviewer stated he removed the FWD drive shaft. In effect, the factory configures the power of the car’s motor and transmission as with the battery being designed specifically for a 4WD car! Not a 2WD. The toymakers (RC or otherwise) are engineers that know specifically about theses sorts of RC electrical toys using DC motors and Lithium batteries! The disablement of the front drive does not improve the speed of the motor or car and could(potentially) overdrive it(rev it up causing advanced premature wear in the future).The steering of the car is controlled by a rather large DC motor(standard DC used in toys since I was a kid back in the 1970s/80s!) This DC is configures as a non-linear servo(I assume) the drive motor is inside a huge gearbox on the rear end of the car. A linear directional motor(forward/reverse) controlled by your receiver/transmitter signals.-I assume more powerful as the car is pretty fast and has good torque from 0-8Kpm in about 3-5 seconds.-that is (by visual) equiv to a real car going about 88-90 MPH as in the Delorean in Back to the Future 88MPH some serious bantha waste increment.regardless if you are a child of 10 or a single adult who just likes to mess around in his free time you will find it an amusing toy! I RC’d it for about 30 minutes out on my back porch over some pretty rough and uneven bricks(PATIO) runs great. I thought it a sales pitch, but seems they’re right! the car is powerful and it is fast.I only wish they had a “K.I.T.T.” Knight Rider and a Back to the Future Delorean! body option for sale!Awesome car!

As soon as i got this thing i fired it up. Unfortunately the batteries were not charged which is unusual these days. So after 20 minutes of charging i fired it up. Sat down on the kitchen floor and was drifting in no time! While the wifey was working in the office she came out and saw me sitting legs crossed like a kid on the kitchen floor playing with my new toy. Mind you I’m a full grown adult. Needless to say she wasn’t very happy with me. That’s when i pulled my “it’s for when JoJo (our God kid) comes over. And it was then she realized I had the power.I continued to play with my toy rc drifting all over the floor for the next hour until my 20 min battery charge finally gave out.The product comes with some accessories including new tires. I purchased this over the others because it came with 2 batteries instead of one.I had so much fun. We’re all kids at heart though. Right?!! LolDefinitely recommended for kids and adults alike.

Its price was absolutely amazing. It is quite durable and has a good battery life. It is decently quick going between 10 to 13 miles an hour and is really good at drifting this is definitely on the cheaper side of RC cars. It would be perfect for a beginner to help get them into the love of RC, I’ve had mine for four months and it’s starting to show a little Problems here and there, but still overall amazing

This product is not at all good. After just 10 minutes of operation, the front left axle joint bent, so when i turn, the wheels lock in place. Very slow, and not fun. This isn’t worth the price charged. I wouldn’t even pay $5 for this.

Bought for two boys. One broke after about 10 minutes of use. The second lasted about 10 minutes longer. I didn’t expect much for the price, but these were total junk. Way to ruin Christmas.UPDATEThe company reached out to me and replaced the defective cars. We’ll see how long the new ones last.

I spent a lot of time trying to take it out of the package, but it was just me who didn’t know you had to turn the black thingys to get it out. It was fun while it lasted, but what i really don’t like was the battery connector thing was very hard to take out every time you had to replace the battery. I was trying to take it out one time and I was pulling very hard, but it didn’t come out, but instead i pulled the cord and now it’s unplayable. I suggest you guys buy a different RC car if you don’t like having to spend an hour replacing the batteries.

I think this car is good for beginners. But there is three main problems. 1 there is no progressive steering. 2 there is no progressive speed. 3 when you trim the steering the trim does not stay the same, you have to trim it every time you drive it. So I give it a 7 out of ten, it is kinda strong,It go’s fast,But with the drift tires the ones it comes on it are hard to use. You kinda just spin. Unless you know what you do.

It is a toy so don’t expect digital control. It is a blast to run through the house. Drifting madness. Use all slicks for best fun and drifting. Use all rubber tires for speed and control. But it is most fun with all slicks.

Super fun for me and my son to play with. Looks cool. Size is perfect for playing in our house or on the driveway. Takes some time to figure out how to control the drift properly, luckily it also comes with rubber tires so my son was able to drive easier. However, it’s made extremely cheap, plastic parts already breaking within about an hour of play and seems to be nowhere to find replacement parts. Should have purchased something with aluminum parts instead of plastic, buyers remorse strikes again.

This toy is a joke. It is supposed to be a rc drift car that can perform amazing stunts and maneuvers. But it is nothing like that. It is poorly made and broke after 1 minute of use. The wheels came off and the motor stopped working. The car was also very loud and annoying, not like a real drift car. It did not drift at all, it just skidded and crashed. It is a waste of money and time. Do not buy this toy for yourself or your kids, it is a disappointment and a frustration.My initial review for this product remains the same however was impressed with DESDONi follow up to my review. Months after returning this item I noticed They reached out and asked me how they can make my shopping experience better.Long story short, I simply requested for a car that actually is 4×4 and can DRJFT. They then sent me an upgraded replacement unit, free of charge. I have never received this level of customer service from any retailer and would like to applaud DESDONis customer care and support.

We ordered a 2 car bundle for my son. The red AE86 works great. But the Yellow bug doesn’t have left steering. Not sure if it’s a controller issue or car issue. We don’t want to return both cars when one works perfect and the other works but we can’t turn left.ETA: Seller sent a replacement and it works great!

First off the steering is loose and does little to steer out of torque. The motor has good power, considering. The slicks are a joke could slide on sand paper just sit and spin. I immediately Modded it out of the box. Took out the middle drive shaft to make it RWD helps slide it around easier and gives more more to rear wheels . Also wired the batteries in parallel to double capacity. Was pretty fun to play with on my dining room hard wood.

It’s a fun toy for sure, but out of the box it just keeps swaying to the right, no matter how much you adjust the correction dial thing. Also, there’s no articulation in the turns or feathering the throttle; you’re either full left or full right, full or no acceleration. You can overcome it by pulsing both… what can you expect from a cheap toy? You’re not going to any RC drift events with this toy.

This thing is FUN!So, im 32. I got this as a fun little time killer and it does exsctly that!It is bigger than expected. The battery lasts a long time! And it entertains myself, the kid, And the dog! It is pretty durable as well. Speed is decent with the slicks and is even better with the rubber tires. Once you spend a good hour with it youll get a hang of the drifting and throttle control. Over all would totally recommend 👌 and will be getting these as gifts for christmas!Only thing i wish was different was the battery compartment. The cover is screwed in, which is great, but it makes battery changes more difficult than a tab cover would. But i can get over that considering how much drive time i get on 1 battery.

This particular RC car is great for indoor wood floor drifting but is rough with uneven surfaces like tile or concrete. The battery life is suboptimal(20 minutes max) although they do provide a separate battery which can call for a quick pit stop! The drifting is smooth and easy to controller with the provided controller and has quick response time. And with the provided cones calls for a sick drift for you and your friends to enjoy!

So I played with this thing for like 2 hours, it’s got good torque takes a sec to learn how to drift but the reverse on it started having problems, like one of the gears inside broke, it makes a loud grinding noise when I reverse and works on and off. For the price you can’t really beat it it’s just cheaply made.

i love this little car, i’ve driven it a good bit inside on hardwood floors and it drifts like crazy. only issue i’ve had with it is the little switch on the bottom of the car that goes between left and right steering trim had popped off twice. it goes right back in though and stayed there after i put a piece of tape over it, although if i were to had lost the piece before taping it i might have had to order another whole car, it doesn’t steer quite right without it. top speed of this car is probably 5-6mph or a brisk walking pace. the batteries last a freakishly long amount of time i’m not even sure how they managed to pull that off. lights are super cool, great car all round

The controller doesn’t have proportional steering. The size is compact, yet, not too small. It has extra wheels which your child can change out depending upon purpose. The screws were tiny and hard to get out. It didn’t come with a compatible screwdriver. Sometimes RC cars will come with mini screw drivers to help unscrew battery door covers, wheels, etc. Overall, it’s a fun little car to start kids off with before you choose a more expensive RC. Batteries lasts a decent amount of time, they’re not exceptionally heavy on drain.

The battery charger was not working which caused mobile inconsistencies. I had another battery connector which charged the battery without any problem. Once I solved the problem, The car drifted to perfection.

I bought this car for my 11 year old. He loves it, and my kitchen quickly became a racetrack. The car is a bit loud, so if you’re getting this for your kid to try to get yourself a nap, grab some earplugs too.It comes with two sets of tires and some cones.The speed of this car is good. I think it’s fast enough for the 11 year old, but not too fast that it’ll leave a huge mark if it hits you’re ankle. The lights on the car work as well, that’s a nice feature to have.It works best on hard surfaces, so your kitchen will become the room of choice. I’m trying to convince him I drive it in the basement, but no dice.

First off, it’s a cheap RC car, cheaply made. Don’t expect a ton of longevity out of this. You get what you pay for. The first one I ordered arrived broken and inoperative. The second one works but the headlights turn on and not the tail lights. Not great quality control. But it’s cheap and fun. I used this mainly as a chassis to put other 1/24 model car bodies on top of to make custom RC cars.

I bought one to mess around with at work on my downtime. It’s fun for the most part, but there’s quite a few negatives.-it doesn’t drift too well. I didn’t expect it to drift easily, but it’s pretty hard to get it to drift when you’re already in motion due to it not having a variable speed throttle. The throttle is just on/off, no inbetween.-be careful putting the tires on. I thought i had it one right, but instead it seated incorrectly and broke the wheel hub.-steering is very loose. And also the steering angle is very poor.Again, I know It sounds like I had great expectations, but these are just a few things I could think look past. It’s a fun car if you just want to play around for a few minutes here and there.

Was truely impressed with this. The handling and power is joyful. It does put smiles on faces of adults and kids playing with it. The ability to chance from grip tires to slicks adds to the excitement.We do after a few runs clean the lint/hair thay gets trap around the axles. It has taken a couple of nice bumps into furniture and it will keep on move along.Looking forward to buy the other cars to be able to race multiple at a time.

I am 28 years old and this is an investment. As everyone else does say, the wheels are either all the way left or right and throttle is either on or off. That being said, she rips and hittin the drifts in the house but feelin like we’re in the streets of Tokyo. Definitely getting me interested in RC and I think it’s great if you want something to do in the house that isn’t on your phone, computer or game console.

First thing I noticed is since it’s not proportional the steering portion of the controller was already loose and I’m sure if given to a kid it would have broken off within minutes. If it where in the hands of any kid with RC experience the controller probably would not break. Once I used it I noticed the steering angle is extremely poor considering this is advertised as a “drift vehicle” even though it’s non proportional the company should’ve given it a more aggressive steering angle. It also goes faster in reverse then forward. Only pluses are it’s pretty quick ,looks nice ,the lights are bright and has nice accessories comes with 2 batteries one charger. But I wouldn’t recommend it,as much as I’d want to mainly cause of the controller weakness issue.
